1. Make a request
Use this form to exercise any of your rights under the DPDP Act (or other privacy laws that apply to you). You can also email contact@acquireman.com from the address linked to your account.
2. Instant controls on this device
Some choices take effect immediately in your browser — no request needed:
To stop marketing emails, click “unsubscribe” in any email we send.
3. What happens next
- Acknowledgement. You will receive an email with a reference number straight away (and in any case within 24 hours).
- Verification. To protect you, we confirm the request comes from you — usually by asking you to reply from the email address on your account. Nominees may need to provide proof of their nomination and the relevant event.
- Action. We aim to complete your request within 30 days, and in any case within the 90 days allowed by the DPDP Rules. If we need more time or cannot meet your request in full, we will explain why.
- Confirmation. We confirm by email when your request is complete, and ask our service providers to erase their copies too.
4. What deletion covers
When you ask us to delete your data or close your account, we will erase or anonymise:
- your account, profile and sign-in details;
- your KYC documents and verification records, unless we must keep them by law;
- your Acquireman AI reports and the conversations stored with them;
- your marketing preferences (we keep only a minimal “do not contact” record);
- your data-room access (you will lose access to any data rooms).
What we may need to keep. We may keep limited data where the law requires or allows it, for example:
| Data | Why we keep it | For how long |
|---|---|---|
| Signed NDAs and agreements | To protect the rights of the other parties and to enforce or defend legal claims | the term of the agreement plus three (3) years |
| Security, access and processing logs | Required by the DPDP Rules for security and investigations | At least one (1) year from the date of processing |
| Invoices and payment records (if any) | Tax and accounting laws | As required by those laws (typically 8 years) |
| Records of this request and your consents | To show we handled your request correctly | As long as needed for that purpose |
Information you previously chose to share with another user (for example, a buyer who received your profile after an introduction) is held by that user under their own obligations. On request, we will tell you who we shared it with so you can contact them.
5. Automatic deletion of inactive accounts
If you do not sign in or contact us for three (3) years, we will delete your account and associated data, after emailing you at least 48 hours beforehand so you can keep it if you wish. See our Privacy Policy for all retention periods.
6. Not satisfied?
Contact our Grievance Officer:
If you are not satisfied with how we handled your grievance, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India. If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
